The Stargate SG-1 Marine is a recurring character type within the Stargate Command (SGC) and forms the backbone of SG teams. These unnamed Marines provide security, tactical support, and operate alongside SG-1 on various missions through the Stargate.
Their primary function is to secure the Stargate upon arrival at a new planet, engage hostile forces, and provide general support to the science and archeology members of the SG team. They are often seen carrying P-90 submachine guns and wearing standard US military tactical gear.
